Brief Artist Statement: I have used the sound and image manipulation open source software “Audacity” to distort the image of a character from the hit video game “Mortal Kombat.” This artistic technique is called datamoshing which is where an artist manipulates an image or video to make their very own glitch art. Glitch art is an artist method to purposely corrupt digital data files to the artist's liking.
